Bobby McFerrin
Friday, January 9th • 8:00pm
Van Duzer Theatre - HSU
Able to leap octaves in a single bound, Bobby McFerrin uses his superhuman vocal powers to transform himself into a one-person, five- piece band! One of the natural wonders of the musical world, he is a true Renaissance man. —a vocal explorer whose voice can replicate the sound of almost any instrument. Perhaps best known for his number one hit song Don’t Worry Be Happy, McFerrin has accomplished it all, from conducting classics and composing operas to collaborating with Chick Corea and Yo-Yo Ma. Live, Mr. McFerrin can hold a crowd spellbound— transforming the audience into his own giant backup chorus, or reciting the entire Wizard of Oz from start to finish in less than three minutes!
